Hiya!! I would like to play games in this laptop but it says i'm blocked by an administrator, i can't even access UAC so i'm very confused?

Blocked app is still playable, and doesn't look like it's staying blocked on the list

How long does it take for a blocked app to take affect and why isn't it staying listed as blocked in the recent activity list?

I blocked access to a game in the 'recent activity' list. But when I go back into the page it doesn't stay listed as 'blocked'-

List before I block:



Then I hit block:



I go to the apps screen and it's listed as blocked:



But when I go back to the recent activity screen it doesn't look blocked anymore:



And, most importantly- the game is still playable- I don't get any message that it's blocked and can play it!!!

I restarted the laptop in question and the access is still there. Is there a time delay before a block I set online takes place on the computer I'm setting it for or what???

Please help I really want this game turned off on my son's laptop!

Laptop goes to sleep when the LID is closed while playing the game.

To assist you better, I suggest you to answer the below questions.

• Have you connected the external monitor to the Laptop?
• Did you make any recent changes prior to the issue?
• Are you facing this issue specifically when playing the specific Game?
• Are you facing this issue after any recent updates installed?

This issue might have caused due to the power settings for the closing of LID is set to sleep mode.

I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

• Press Windows + X keys and select the Control Panel.
• Select Power options by searching in search box.
• Right side select Change Plan setting next to the power plans.
• Select the Change advanced Power plan settings.
• Under the list select and expand Power buttons and lid.
• Select Turn off the display under the drop down of setting.
• Click Apply. Ok.
• Close the LID and Check if the issue resolves.

Random laptop crashes in games.

Oxymoron that is.... Your saying doubtful it would overheat but recommend he blows the dust with compressed air and recommend a laptop cooler. Now thats hilarious. Just saying.... I think you just said what I did but took the mantainence a step further.
