Windows 10: Holding down mouse button does not work as expected

Issue: When holding down a mouse button, clicking and releasing another mouse button will also release the held down buttonFor instance: I am holding down my RMB, then I tap my LMB. LMB releases as expected, but RMB also gets released, despite me still physically holding down the button.This is repeatable with any combination of buttons on the mouse.I only noticed it recently, because the game I was playing required holding down mouse buttons, and clicking other mouse buttons. At first I suspected it was input lag from the game, or faulty mouse, but....I have tried this with various mice and v

Computer does not recognize mouse hold

Yes, I have tried such tests before. And no, it doesn't work that way for me. As far as the computer is concerned, I never used the right-button on the icon; it only knows that my mouse is not currently above any icon and registered my 'release' as the click, thus giving me the basic 'view', 'sort by', and 'refresh' menu. The options your suggesting don't exist, because the computer didn't register me 'selecting' the icon in the first place before dragging.

The same test is valid for all the other functions I've mentioned. If the right mouse button was working like it was supposed to, I'd be able to use any basic right-button-hold function in any game I play, but I can't in any of them, because the computer doesn't know I'm holding the button down.

 

Mouse and touchpad not working

Hey did exactly what you suggested and the first time i did it the mouse cursor became visible, it was at the center of the screen but i still couldnt make it move with the touchpad and i plugged in my usb mouse and that doesnt work too. I did it a few moret times but cursor never showed up again and still could make either the touchpad or the mouse to work. Do you have anymore suggestion?
