Windows 10: Holding Right Click on Windows 11 With Trackpad

I recently received a Predator Helios 300 I was previously a Mac owner, I'm new to Microsoft and have been tweaking some stuff and was wondering, is there any way to make it so that you can hold right-click instead of only being able to click it with a built-in trackpad? I need this feature for some games like ROBLOX that I'm going to play. Thanks!

Trackpad driver is constantly removed

Thank you for mentioning the different steps you have tried to resolve the issue, we appreciate your effort.

I suggest you to try the steps below and check if it helps.

1. Press Windows key + X and select device manager.

2. Click "view" and select "show hidden devices".

3. If the trackpad driver is listed, right click on the driver and uninstall it.

4. Restart the computer and have Windows automatically install the driver upon restart.

Dissabled trackpad

I'll be happy to help you with your question.

Please use the external mouse to complete these next few steps of instructions until we can get your trackpad working again.

Right click your Windows Start button and then click on "Device Manager".

In Device Manager, we need to locate your trackpad. Usually this will be listed under ">Mice and other pointing devices" or ">Human Interface Devices". If it's listed under ">Human Interface Devices", it likely is named as a "HID-compliant touchpad".

If you don't see your trackpad, but do see two entries named "HID-compliant mouse", right-click each and select Properties. In the Properties window, on the General tab, check the Location value. If the Location is "on I2C HID Device," that is the touchpad device on your laptop.

After locating your Touchpad, right click it and then click on "Update driver".

Click "Search automatically for updated driver software" and follow the steps.

If updated driver software was found, does your trackpad now work ok?

If it doesn't, then please do the following:

Right click on your trackpad again, but this time click on "Uninstall device".

If you are also asked if you want to "also uninstall driver software for the device" check the box and then click on Uninstall.

Now reboot your computer.

Your trackpad will be reinstalled upon reboot.

See if it now works OK.

Unable to disable laptop trackpad after Windows 10 update (Feb 2019)

Hi Shawn, I'm Graeme, an independent adviser here to help.

One way to disable the trackpad would be to use Device Manager. Here are the steps you can follow to do this:

- Press Windows Key+X and choose Device Manager.

- Find your trackpad in the list.

- Right-click the trackpad, and choose Uninstall Device.

This should stop the trackpad from functioning. If you want to re-enable it, you can follow the same steps and choose Enable instead.
