Windows 10: Home Choice Tablet - Windows 10 - Touch not working

Hi, I have a Home Choice Proline Tablet/Laptop. The touchscreen screen worked all long, untill I stored the device away and when rebooting a while later the touch screen no longer responded. I tried following troubleshooting option via device manager by "HUman Interface Devices" and cannot locate anything regarding touch screen.Is it possible that the touch option has been removed due to software updates?Any advise would be helpful.

I suggest you to perform the following troubleshooting steps and check if it helps. Follow the below steps and check if it helps.

• 
  Right click on the Task bar and select ShowTouch Keyboard Button.
  
• 
  Open the Keyboard and close it (just to check if it’s working).
  
• 
  Next click on Action center and select
  Tablet Mode.
  
• 
  Once you are in Tablet mode, again Right click on the
  Task bar and select Show Touch Keyboard Button.
  
• 
  Open the Key board and check if it’s working in Tablet mode. Next check if it’s available on the task bar in both desktop and tablet mode.

Sorry for replying to you late.

I would suggest you to Disable Tablet Mode.

Try the following steps:

• Click on Search icon on task bar, type Tablet Mode Settings and select it from the options
• Turn off the settings that says "Make Windows more touch friendly"

Touch on Windows 10 tablet not working

I will be glad to help you with the issue you have with the computer. I understand the frustration when things don't work the way it should.

What is the make and model of your tablet?

I suggest you to connect USB mouse and follow the below troubleshooting.

Check if you see any exclamation in device manager. Follow the steps.

a. Press Windows key + X.

b. Click on Device manager.

c. Select Human Interface Devices.

d. Check if you see any error.

Also check if the touch screen drivers are disabled. If they are disabled, right click on it and click on enable.

Please follow the methods mentioned below.

Method 1:

First try to run Hardware and Device troubleshooter. Follow the steps.

a. Press Windows Key +R, type
Control Panel.

b. Type troubleshooting in the search bar, click on troubleshooting.

c. Click on Hardware and Sound, click on
Hardware and Devices.

d. Follow the steps from the wizard to run the troubleshooter.

Method 2:

I will suggest you to try and update the touch screen drivers and check for the resolution.

You may follow the steps:

a) Press Windows key and X on your desktop and click on
Device Manager.

b) Expand Human Interface Devices.

c) Locate the Touch screen driver.

d) Right-click on the driver icon and click on
Update Driver Software.

e) Click on Search automatically for the updated driver software.

f) Follow the onscreen instructions to update the touchpad driver.

Also check the Windows updates for any latest driver updates.

Check in Windows update if any driver updates are available. If so, install the same and check if it helps.

a) Press Windows Key + W from the keyboard.

b) Type Updates in the search bar and click on
Install optional updates from the left pane.

c) From the Windows Update window, click on Check for Updates on the top left corner to receive a fresh list of updates and install all the updates listed there.

If no driver updates are available, you may also search for the updated touchpad device drivers in the
Drivers and Driver Store folders in the location C:/Windows/System32 by selecting the option Browse my computer for Driver Software.

Method 3:
