Windows 10: Home computer black screen after last windows update

I receive this notification after my log in window: " System32\config\system profile\Desktop is unavailable, if the location on this P.C., make sure the device is connected or the disc is inserted, and then try again. If location is a network, make sure you are connected to the network or internet and try again, If the location still can't be found, it might have been moved or deleted."

When the update came in, as always, I allow it to proceed, now I can't use the computer.

I've tried some things but the best it will do is give me inaccessible files, I'm at a loss here, what do I do?

Windows 7 black screen of death

I read a report a little while ago that said the black screens were nothing to do with updates but due to a malicious program (it hit more than just windows 7 users - vista, xp and 2000 were also prone to the black startup screen of death if infected). My windows 7 install is fully up-to-date and i've never had the black startup screen.

Just run some decent anti virus and you should be safe (i suggest microsoft security essentails since it's free and pretty decent). When you've installed an anti-virus i'd suggest doing a full scen to be sure there's nothing there.

 

Black Screen During Driver Update

I reinstalled my laptop back to factory settings, and I wanted to update the GPU drivers. But when I try, the screen turns black during the update, but the computer is still running. I was forced to turn off the computer and turn it back on. I used system restore, so now I'm using the default drivers that came with the laptop. Can you guys suggest anything?

 

Black Screen after Log on


Computer boots to windows log on,have no password here.After a minute on log on it go to a black screen,stays there forever. I can get to Task Manager from black Screen,lost on what to do next. Just want my Windows 10 back, not sure what caused this problem. Any Suggestion on what my next step should be?*Sad
