Windows 10: Home Group Password

I created a home group. It did not give me an option to create a password. It is giving me a message state that my username on my computer created a homegroup and that user created a password. That never happened.

Hi,

I suggest you to run the inbuilt home group Troubleshooter and check if this helps. Follow these steps to run the troubleshooter:

• In the search box, type ‘Troubleshooter’, and then click
  ‘Troubleshooting’.
• Click on view all.
• Select Home group from the list and follow the onscreen instructions.

Forgot Local Password

I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and reset the password for the local account and check.

• 
  Login in to your Microsoft account.
  
• 
  Press Windows logo key + X key.
  
• 
  Select Computer Management.
  
• 
  Click on Local user and group.
  
• 
  In the right window pane, double click on user’s folder.
  
• 
  Right click on local user account and select set password and follow the on screen instructions.
