    Home Network Instability

My home network has a problem that I think is best described as instability. By that I mean File Explorer’s network folder does not display connected computers on a consistent basis. In other words, I am having a “now I see you, now I don’t” kind of frustration which often causes me to leave the computer I am using to go to the target computer missing in File explorer and perform the task needed.

Each PC is setup on the network by simply entering the password for my AT&T gateway/modem, with no homegroup or workgroup created. Where am I going wrong? Is there a tried and true home network setup method that I can use to avoid this annoyance?

    Other information:

    System: Windows 10 Home, 64-bit

    Number of Pcs: 6

    Connectivity: Wi-Fi

    Thanks.

    Ca Le

Did our Epson printer get hacked?

Another question, is this on a home network or a work network? The steps @eidairaman1 listed are always a good first step. If this is on a work network you manage, I'd be much more concerned than the home one. It is possible someone is screwing with you, but malware could also be the culprit.

    2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
    3. Select add someone else on this PC.
    4. Enter a user name and hit next.
