    Home networking on Windows 10 build 17134


    Working on a client's home network, noticed one version of Windows 10 has a Homegroup option, the other does not. So got home, checked my computer, no option.


    How do I network the two computers? The one with the Homegroup option does not see the one without it, but I was able to get the one without it to see the one with it.


    And I did the set up for sharing and checked settings, they are the same on both computers. The only missing component is the Homegroup option.


    When I do a search for setting up a home network, the instructions all provide for the Homegroup, nothing else.

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    Home networking on Windows 10 build 17134

    Should stay Version 1803 build 17133.1 or Go Version 1803 build 17134¿

    A serious bug was found in Windows 10 17133 forcing Microsoft to discard it and replace it with Windows 10 build 17134.

    You will have to upgrade to it, since Microsoft will not be supporting build 17133 with updates.
