Windows 10: HomeGroup and version 20H2

Discus and support HomeGroup and version 20H2 in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; I was under the impression that Windows 10 after version 1803 does not have HomeGroup.     HomeGroup and version 20H2


    I was under the impression that Windows 10 after version 1803 does not have HomeGroup. I have version 20H2 that shows a HomeGroup, but I can no longer connect to a Mac on my local HomeGroup. Not being a Windows 10 expert, I am lost with the array of new settings to have my iMac and MacBook back on the HomeGroup. A part that has me confused is that as User, I only have my Microsoft PW (which I used to setup my Windows) and the keypad entry. My iMac asks for User Name and password - to my knowledge, I do not have one. Quite confused... Todd Windows version 20H2

    If your network contains computers running different versions of Windows, put all computers in the same workgroup



    I would suggest you to follow these steps and try to run the HomeGroup troubleshooter:

    • Press Windows key + X on the keyboard.
    • Click on Control panel.
    • Type “Troubleshooting” without quotes in the Control panel
      search box.
    • Click on Troubleshooting and click on View all.
    • Click on HomeGroup troubleshooter and follow the on-screen instructions.


    Let us know the results.
