Windows 10: Homegroup in Windows 7, desktop with libraries does not appear on the other devices, unable...

I get an error code, 2147500037 when searching for the solution to the Homegroup not working as designed. It worked fine for years and then stopped a few weeks ago. The computers work fine, but there is no access to the libraries of files videos and photos on the main desktop. They don't show up.

Windows 7 Homegroup and Library Question

Hello all,

i am currently using windows 7 and using the Homegroup to share music and videos with the family.

the problem that i am having with it however is that whenever i add new content to the folder it does not share these in the homegroup, i have to go through and reshare every file that i add, easy enough for videos, but when music gets put into folders by artist and album it gets to be kinda crazy to make sure it gets added.

is there a way to automate this process so that when it gets into the folder it is shared?

Windows 10 Desktop, Unable to remove Homegroup or Libraries icons

The "Homegroup" and "Libraries" icons are on my desktop and I can't figure out a way to remove them. If I go to Settings/Personalization/Themes/Desktop icon settings, they don't show up so I can't un-check them. I also tried disabling HomeGroup Provider
in services.msc and it didn't help.

There is no "Delete" option when I right-click on these particular icons (Homegroup and Libraries).

After a right-click on Homegroup, the only options are:

Open

Pin to Quick access

Change HomeGroup settings

View the HomeGroup password

Start the HomeGroup troubleshooter

Share with devices

Pin to Start

Create Shortcut

After a right-click on Libraries, the only options are:

Open

Pin to Quick access

Restore default libraries

Pin to StartCopy

Create Shortcut

If I try to just drag them and put them in a folder (just to get them off the desktop) they stay on the desktop and put a shortcut in the folder.

Also, dragging them into the Recycle Bin doesn't work either, they just pop back up.

I'm guessing that somewhere in the registry, I could turn a 1 to a 0 or a 0 to a 1. Any ideas?

 

Unable to use printer via homegroup

  Are you using the same Windows version on all the systems?

  How is the printer connected to network, wirelessly or via LAN?
  

Meanwhile I suggest you to please follow the mentioned steps:

  Leave the Homegroup on the specific laptop.
  
• 
  Now restart the laptop, and join the
  Homegroup once the laptop starts.
  
• 
  Select the Libraries and Devices
  you will be sharing.
  
• 
  Enter the Password to join the
  Homegroup.
  
• 
  Make sure that all the computers in the
  Homegroup should have LIBRARY and DEVICES set to share printers, files, or videos.
