Windows 10: Homegroup Issues/14986 build. Can't get either computer to sync time

    Homegroup Issues/14986 build. Can't get either computer to sync time


    I am unsure if this is the issue. I am continually been having trouble with this issue of getting the Homegroup to work lately.

    I run the troubleshooter and get the error regarding date/time sync.

    However, when I go to date and time settings and try to sync via either the windows server or the .gov servers I am getting this error


    "An error occurred getting the status of the last synchonization. Access is denied"

    Any way to fix this? This is happening on both the desktop and my laptop.

    Cant create or join home group on this computer. Windows 10

    Build 14971- I tied all of the above and get an error window "Cannot create a Homegroup on this computer" I had one with all previous builds (and 14986 will not install after several attempts per day since Dec 6.)

    Got any other tricks?

    Can't set up a HomeGroup on this computer.

    Obviously you did not read my problem. I indicated Windows 10 (1709). 1709 is the build number. Secondly, until my desktop died I had a HomeGroup and the problem arose with the new computer. The only message I receive is 'Can't setup HomeGroup on this
    computer'. I could not join my old HomeGroup so I turn-off my other computer (laptop) and tried to create a new HomeGroup. Either way I get the same message. The only thing new is the Windows update to build 1709.
