Windows 10: Hooking up the computer to the tv

    Hooking up the computer to the tv


    I just got a new Acer Computer with an HDMI port. Question #1. On my tv does it matter which HDMI I use, like the one marked out? Now that it's hooked up what I see is my desktop background picture and in the lower left is the taskbar. I can hover over a browser and, in this case, 2 windows show up. The problem is that they won't open up. I went to internet options, then to connections, clicked on LAN settings and unchecked the proxy server, clicked okay then clicked okay again. It still won't open anything on the taskbar. Question #2, At one time the pointer was on the tv, when I was clicking on the browsers but now it stays on the computer.? Please tell me what steps to take to fix this HELP!!!!

    Hooking TV back up to desktop after getting new computer with Windows 10 installed

    My tv was hooked up and working fine before I got a new computer with Windows 10 already installed. What are the steps to set this up again?

    hooking up a TV


    I want to hook up video from my video card (NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT) to my TV (making it my second monitor). My card has 2 DVI ports and one is for my monitor. I have no more HDMI ports on the TV so I need to use RCA or S-Video to connect the computer and the TV. I've tried a DVI to S-Video adapter and it doesn't work. Anybody have an ideas that might help me. Or am I just wasting my time?

    Hooking up the computer to the tv

    Connect Samsung Smart TV to Computer

    We suggest that you follow these steps:

    • Connect your PC and TV in same network.
    • Got to Start and click on Settings.
    • Open Devices and chose Connected devices from the menu on the left.
    • Click on Add a device.
    • After the wizard finished, just click on your TV and follow the instructions.
    Let us know how it goes.
