Windows 10: HORI FIGHTING STICK α is not recognized by Windows 11

The following device: HORI FIGHTING STICK α, is not recognized by Windows 11, nor Steam, nor the HORI Device Manager application responsible for firmware updates on my PC. It works on other PCs, such as my FX504GD. When attempting to connect, the HORI FIGHTING STICK α lights up the indicator LED for about 10 seconds before shutting off entirely. I have checked all available power settings as show in the attachment. I have tried the device on all USB ports and have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the device multiple times. I have tried other USB devices, such as logitech mice, on the USB po

Apologize for the inconvenience. Your efforts to work on this issue is very much appreciated.

Suggest you to completely uninstall the USB driver and reinstall it to check if this helps.

Follow these steps.

• 
  Press “Windows key + X” and click on “Device Manager”.
  
• 
  In the list of devices, you should see the USB device.
  
• 
  Right click on the USB device and then select "Uninstall".
  
• 
  In the uninstall dialog, make sure you select the option to delete the driver package from the system. This causes the driver package installed earlier to be deleted.
  

In the Action menu of Device manager, select “Scan for Hardware changes”
option. This will force the computer to recognize any hardware changes. Once the driver is installed, close all windows and restart the computer.

Method 2: Clear readonly status with Diskpart

In Windows 10, 8, 7 OS, you are also able to run Diskpart in Command Prompt to clear read-only attribute on any partition on your computer. You can follow the tutorial below:

Step 1. Open Command Line and type Diskpart
Step 2. Type list disk
Step 3. Type select disk (disk number)
Step 4. Type attributes disk clear readonly





Then try Clean

I realize that the Fight stick from Mad Catz do not work on the PC. I will try to help you with this issue.

Ensure to install any pending updates and also update all device drivers from Device Manager. Once this is done remember to restart the computer to check if that helps.

If need be then plug in the device and run the hardware troubleshooter. Once this is done, restart the computer to check if this helps.

Click on “Hardware and Devices” to run the troubleshooter. Once this is done, restart the computer and check if this helps.
