Windows 10: horizontal white lines on my hp elitebook 8440p

my laptop suddenly developed white horizontal line on the screen few days after repairing the dvd rom drive .

what could be the possible solutions i have tried updating the display driver but couldnt find my laptops driver on the hp driver site

the display is intel hd what could be the possible solutions to these

please i need urgent reply

if i can get new driver updates from here

A Small White Horizontal Line

Thank you for the update. It is really hard to tell what exactly was the white horizontal line. Maybe a program that you recently installed?

"white horizontal line", very short like just an underscore ? That's a sign OS wasn't found. Check your HDD's health.

Usually, its your chipset driver.

The most recent driver for this model are Windows 7 only. So, you will have to try those to see if they work:

Make sure the most important are installed: Chipset, Display driver and Network (Ethernet and Wireless).

Also, install any storage drivers.

To find other drivers that might be missing.

Press Windows key + X

Click Device Manager

Right click in entries you see with an exclamation sign

Click Properties

Go to the Details tab

Click in the Property list box

Choose Hardware ids

Choose the shortest value in the value list box

Right click it then click Copy

Open your web browser and go to your favorite search engine then paste it in then perform a search. It should provide a description and like resource link where you can download the driver.
