Windows 10: Horrible audio quality on new pc

    Horrible audio quality on new pc


    I recently got a new pc and upon using the pc i was just testing to see if everything is working and tried to play a couple games of valorant to test performance and noticed that the audio quality is really bad. It almost sounds like hollow, muffled i can’t really describe it but it just sounds really bad. My audio device in settings says realtek usb2.0 audio and the motherboard i have is ASUS ROG Strix X670E-A GAMING Motherboard WIFI if that helps. I have no clue how to fix the poor audio quality if anyone knows how to fix the issue it would be appreciated. I am also on windows 11.

    Xbox One S Controller on PC as a Hands-Free Headset with horrible audio quality

    I've bought Xbox One S Controller for BT connection and audio jack port.

    When I connect it wireless - controleller works fine, but audio quality is HORRIBLE.

    When I connect it wired - audio is ok.

    Windows 10 see this controller as a Hands-Free Headset and there is no option to set better quality than 16 bit 8000Hz (phone quality).

    Remote Desktop Audio and Video Quality Assistance

    Currently remoting into my laptop via a remote desktop manager where I have a WYSE DELL client as my remote support to login. My problem is that I have used up all of my "tech knowledge" to try to improve the audio and video quality, as outlined below:

    • In the remote manager before logging in:
      • Turned off compression
      • Went to full 1gb full duplex
      • enabled remote fx
    • On the laptop after remoting in:
      • Went into GPEDIT and enabled high quality audio and all other low to high quality settings
      • Uninstalled realtek drivers and installed back
      • Uninstalled video drivers and installed back
    My main problem is that I am having horrible static when playing either a video and or a song on spotify. What else can be done as I am getting tired of this static noise......

    Audio quality drops when using microphone

    Whenever I join a discord call, the audio quality of my headphones that are really good drop down to absolutely horrible audio quality.
