Windows 10: Hostname contains username

    Hostname contains username


    My PC‘s name is just "Desktop-Fabian", but whenever I log into any network, it shows up as "Desktop-Fabian — fabsch2003", where "fabsch2003" is my username. Is there any way to stop Windows from adding it to the hostname? Edit: It‘s not depending on whether I connect wired or wirelessly.

    What is the Container folder and why is it missing?

    They have 5 steps listed? Can you not get the files they mention in step 5? I can't tell if Containers is the name of a Windows file or just an internal reference or what.

    Set the N95's hostname

    Hi,

    How would I be able to set the hostname for the N95 similar to a PCs computer name? When viewing the dhcp client list on a dhcp server, the N95 shows up as having no hostname. The MAC address, along with the assigned IP address is listed though.

    Any ideas? So far I have only seen how to assign a name to the phone for bluetooth purposes but this name does not show on WLAN obviously.

    execute hostname #new hostname#
