    i recently had issues with my pc and needed to restore it. some shortcuts were not working and the display for brightness shortcut wasn't either. Whats the safest way to install a toshiba hotkey driver? i have done some research and found websites full of scams and installers with possibly malicious code. can anyone give a safe/reliable windows 10 Hotkey Driver for toshiba?

  2. Laptop hotkeys not working [windows10]

    I used this method and get solution for wifi keys problem on windows 10 on Me HCL laptop.

    I suggest you to try installing Hotkeys driver.

    Follow these steps after install the drivers check if that helps.

    • Download the keyboard drivers and hot fix (PHotkeys) driver from the manufacturer’s website.
    • Install driver on your system
    • Go to Path of installed driver Right-click on the driver setup file and click on ‘Troubleshoot comparability’.
    • On the ‘Test Compatibility settings for the program pop up windows’ open and click the box ‘Test the program’ Once this is done, check if the issue persists.

  3. Display driver not supporting and device manager not showing Display adapter option

    Hi Maheen,

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

    This issue could have occurred due to these reasons:

    • Incorrect settings.
    • Corrupt or outdated display driver.
    Try the steps listed here and check if it helps:

    Method 1:

    I suggest you to download and install all the available Windows Updates including Optional Updates. Check if it helps.

    Method 2:

    If the issue persists, i suggest you to uninstall and re-install latest display driver from the computer manufacturer website and check if it helps.

    Step 1: Uninstall display driver.

    • Right-click on the Start Button and click on
      Device manager.
    • Double-click on Display Adapters to expand.
    • Right-click on the display adapter driver that is listed and select properties.
    • In the window opened, click on drivers tab.
    • In the drivers tab, Click on Uninstall option.
    Now restart your computer and check, if the problem persists try step 2.

    Step 2:

    Re-install display driver from the manufacturer website.

    Windows Hotkeys Suddenly Not Working Properly!

    Hi,



    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.



    We understand the difficulties you are facing with the hotkeys on your PC. We appreciate your effort in providing us the detail information of the issue. We would like to know the KB number of the Windows update installed recently.
    (Settings>Updates & Security>Windows Updates>View update history)



    We would suggest you to perform these methods and check if that fix the issue.



    Method 1: Run the troubleshooter.

    1. Press Windows + I key to launch
      Windows Settings
    2. Select Update & Security and click on Troubleshoot from the left pane.
    3. Scroll down and select keyboard from the list and click on Run the troubleshooter.
    4. Follow the onscreen steps.


    Method 2: uninstall the driver.

    1. Press Windows + X key and select Device Manager from menu
    2. Expand the Keyboard device.
    3. Right click on the keyboard listed and click on Uninstall.
    4. Check the box beside Delete the driver software for this device.
    1. Click OK and Follow the onscreen steps.
    2. Restart the PC and install the keyboard driver from the manufacturer website.
