Windows 10: hourglass icon is stuck on my pc screen

I am using my desktop for quite some time but this is the first time it hung up. Suddenly whenever I hover my mouse at a button it shows an hourglass icon. I restart and still showed the same thing.

I am using my desktop for a while and it hang up. Suddenly whenever I hover my mouse at the bottom it shows an hourglass icon. I restart and it still doing the same. Can someone tell me what is this and remove this?

 

Hourglass Icon frozen on taskbar

Just got HP Envy x360 running Windows 10. Operating less than 24 hours. On task bar at bottom, I have an hourglass image sitting over the blue question mark icon. I cannot get it to close as obviously a program is running. Any ideas what is going on
here or how to close/exit the hourglass?

 

PC Build Steps

Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval

• Install system in case
  • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
• Turn on PC
• setup HDD
• run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
  • run realtemp at the same time

• While in Prime95 test
  • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
  • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
  • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!

What do you guys think??
