    Hi there

    Moral don't upgrade 2 things at the same time !!!!

    Backing up build 1605 after upgrade to Macrium Free to latest release

    Backup Fails.

    Restored previous release of Macrium -- Still Fails. So suspicion is something in VSS or Disk I/O system that Macrium doesn't like.


    Running Windows 10 Pro X-64 GB edition.

    I've temporarily reverted back to Build 1511 as I cannot run a "Non Backupable system". Restore failed with new version of Macrium but older version worked fine.

    (Linux DD would work in an emergency but I'm not relying on that method of backing up !!!).

    When to download

    I reserved my copy of Windows 10 about a month ago. Yesterday I just went ahead and clicked on the icon but since (24 hours now) all I've gotten is the blue box with spinning dots saying "working on it." Am I suppose to wait until someone from Microsoft
    sends me a link telling me it's ok to download Windows 10?
