Windows 10: How antivirus interfere with system restore

I know antivirus interferes with system restore. But why? It's not an important question, just pure curiousity.

To fix the issue, we suggest that you boot in Safe Mode and see if you are able to create a system restore point or restore to a prior restore point. Usually, third-party services or drivers can interfere with the proper functioning of
System Restore. Alternatively, you could also execute a Clean Boot and see if you are able to get system restore working.

I understand how difficult it is, when the device or app won't work in the way it should.

Having trouble with enabling system restore are cause by antivirus software is interfering with system restore, system protection settings are corrupt, and system files are corrupt.

You may try any of below suggestions and check if this help:

1. Disable first antivirus software then proceed with system restore

2.Check System Protection settings

> Boot into Windows

> Click Start

> Right-click on Computer

> Click Properties

> Click System Protection

> Check hard disk has the Protection column "On". If the value of the Protection column is Off, select the hard disk and click Configure.

3. Run SFC scan

SFC command is to restore corrupted files. Follow these steps.

- Click on "Search" from the taskbar

- Type cmd (Command Prompt)

- Right click on Command Prompt from the search results list.

- Click Run as administrator.

- When Command Prompt launches, type the command: sfc /scannow
