Windows 10: How can a get the hash sign on my win 10 keyboard ?

How can a get the hash sign on my win 10 keyboard ? it seems the command shift+3 gives the £pound sign instead. please help me out.

If would suggest you to connect a different and check you are able to sign in. if still you are unable to sign in I would suggest you to enable the onscreen keyboard and check if you are able to sign in. follow the below steps to enable onscreen keyboard.

  On the sign in screen
  
• 
  On the bottom right corner you can find the Ease of access Icon
  
• 
  Click and select on screen keyboard.

I suggest you verify whether the files really are identical. Generate different hashes- as f14tomcat suggests below..

I suggest you to check if the issue persists when you connect another keyboard to your system.

If the issue is with the keyboard, then suggest you to update the keyboard drivers by following the steps below.

• 
  Press Windows key + X and select
  Device Manager from the list.
  
• 
  Expand ‘Keyboard’ from the list.
  
• 
  Right click on the driver and select ‘update driver software’ and follow the prompts.
