    I use three devices to work: my smartphone, my sister's laptop, and my family's PC. Their operating systems are Android 10, Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, and Windows 10 respectively. I work mainly on the laptop because I can work anywhere with it and most of my data is there.

    However, I don't back up my data nor do I have it synced across my devices, but I'd like to do both things, so I'm looking for a workflow to accomplish that. I'd also like my data to be only readable by me. E.g., if I have a .txt file, I want it to be impossible for others to read the content.

    What do you recommend?

    How to add Windows Dual Boot with Ubuntu 16.04 already installed?

    Just do a restart, and Both Ubuntu and Windows Boot Manager should be listed on your GRUB Boot Menu, as long as the Menu TimeOut isn't set to 0.

    I, personally, like to use Grub Customizer. It allows you to set the GRUB Boot Menu options in a GUI, to include options like the Menu TimeOut and default Boot Device/Partition.

    Hello! Sorry you are having this issue. Hopefully we can fix it

    Dual booting should be the same for everything or very similar at least.

    Did you use any guides? It's a little complicated to explain step-by-step how to install a dual boot here but you can look at guides for ubuntu here>

    The basic guide is to backup your data > create a disk with ubuntu on it > disable secure boot > Then boot from the USB > install ubuntu
