how can i access one drive on my pc from another pc...or my mob phone

Tethering Nokia Mob to PC (Win XP)

How can I tell at a glance if a phone is capable of tethering to a laptop to act as a modem.



I spend a lot of time in the countryside out of range of more common connection methods (dongle etc) However I have a reasonable mob signal, I know it is possible to tether, but get conflicting advice on what is possible from dealers.



What is the function/functionality to look for when I am looking to see if a mob can tether?



Is there a list anywhere of nokia models that can tether.



I'm looking to buy a cheapish mob, purely to tether my laptop, the only ones I've seen so far are in the region of £300, does anyone have any suggestions of anything cheaper?

 

Limitations to Activesync on PPC

I have two PCs #1 (XP Home, AS 4.5) and #2 (Vista Business, WMDC) and a PPC (WM6, AS). I have partnerships (USB and Bluetooth) for the two PCs on the PPC. The PPC lists the PCs #1 and #2 on the Activesync screen. When I connect by Bluetooth, the AS connects
to #2, e.g. there is no way to select which PC to connect to. Is this a limitation of the PPC AS?

 

[solved] drive/partition totally missing after errant diskpart clean

The problem w/ that software is the same that I have already listed with other things I've checked: the drive doesn't APPEAR. I see my C: drive and any USB drives I've plugged in, but my original D: drive doesn't exist for the Easus Data Recovery Wizard. So, I don't even have an option of overwriting my old files this way. Thanks for the suggestion, though.
