Windows 10: how can i access Win 11 map drive to ESXI ?

Hi sir & madam,This is chitong from HK company.All of our office we are using win11, It was disconnect to map drive to ESXI since its upgrade win11 24h2 automaticlly.There are ESXI therminal and have installed a Win NT Server inside of it.If I run like this: \\10.190.50.10\shareThe error code is 0x80070043But I can access the server name like this: \\ABC_SERVER3\share . that 's okCould you please help my fault case !? How can I fix it ?Thanks and regardschitong

ESXi 4.0 and Ubuntu LTS VM Raw Drive Mapping/Software Raid

you will be able to map those drives to an ubuntu system. from there when you setup your VM software just reference that mount point. i suggest using command line to mount those drives, not the GUI. i am pretty sure there is open source software for software based raid 5 but i have never set that up before. look into cloud software which is what you want to do essentially.

 

Licencing Windows 11 Pro vms, on-premise server HyperV / ESXi

Looking how to licence correctly Windows 11 Pro on a server running Hyper-V or ESXi.



What is the correct and most effective’ way of licensing 20 x Win 11 VM’s running on an on-premise server running HyperV or ESXi (not bothered which at this stage) and what base licences will be required for the devices connecting to the Win 11 vms?

Ok, so as the title explains. My overall goal is map 4 1.5TB Drives to a Ubuntu LTS 10.04 VM, and create a software based raid 5 array and host that to the network inside an ESXi VM. Any idea if this is possible?
