Windows 10: How can I activate Windows 11 Pro with my purchased Windows 11 Pro digital license?

I am running Windows 11 Pro on Parallels on Macbook Pro M2 running Sonomoa 14.4.1. I installed Windows 11 Pro through the Parallels process and then purchased a license for it through the Microsoft store, signed in with my Microsoft id. Windows will not activate. The purchase of the license shows up on the Microsoft Store. I cannot find my anything showing my current device on my Microsoft Account. I do not see anything that indicates the Windows 11 pro license is tied to this device or any device. I have tried using the generic product key posted in an answer to a similar question. I c

Windows 11 Pro for Workstations upgrade is not activated on digital license

Purchased the Windows 11 Pro for Workstations upgrade. First time upgrade was successful. Now my digital license only shows Windows 11 Home. How do I reconcile the upgrade to my digital license?

Thanks so much for your help. That really clarifies my situation.

Using this article as a guide, my plan is to:

1. Replace Windows 11 with Ubuntu on the laptop that currently has the Windows 11 Pro retail digital license activated on it (even if reverting to Windows Home is an option, I just prefer Ubuntu on this computer for a programming environment). I will not yet remove the 'device' in my Windows account.
   
2. After assembling my new PC, I will install Windows 11 via a USB drive.
   
3. When prompted I will choose the "I don't have a key option"
   
4. I will log in with my Microsoft account
   
5. I will go to Activation Settings > Troubleshoot
   
6. I will click "I changed hardware on this device recently"
   
7. I will chose the new PC from the list of available PCs
   
8. I will check "This is the device I'm using right now" and click "Activate." This will enable Windows 11 Pro on the new PC and deactivate the installation on the old laptop (which at this point will be running Ubuntu anyways)
   

Does that sounds like a good plan?

 

Windows 11 Home to Windows 11 Pro Upgrade (Digital License Linked with Microsoft Account)

Hi,

So i needed to reinstall windows on my SSD from HDD. I had the windows 11 Pro license linked digitally to my Microsoft account. I download the windows 11 multi-iso from microsoft's website but the edition that was installed on laptop was the home edition. It is activated but the problem is that I want to upgrade to Pro. I have the digital license of windows 11 Pro but when i click upgrade it directs me to windows store and ask's me to purchase the pro edition.

Please help.
