  1. How can I add a driver Windows needs to start following a hardware change?


    I swapped my motherboard from an MSI Z690 to the Z790 board of the same line MSI PRO Z690-A to MSI PRO Z790-A, using the same other hardware, same NVMe drives, etc. I knew there was a risk that Windows might choke on the hardware change, but it actually boots up fine, as long as I leave RAID turned off in the BIOS, and therein lies my problem. Important Background: I had been running with RAID 1, so one of the 2 NVMe drivers was just a mirror of the other. I do that to avoid downtime like this. :- In other cases, in the event of a drive failure by far the most common point of failure in a
