Windows 10: How can I backup my apps and preferences on my new device?

I am currently trying to transfer all my data from my Surface Pro X to a new Surface Pro 11. I have been able to backup everything on my new device except for my apps and, notably, my setting preferences.I have seen other people have had similar problems, so I tried all the recommendations I could find: switching from my Microsoft account to a local one and then back, updating and restarting, toggling all the settings related on both my new and old devices. In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below:

• What is the make and model number of your PC?
  

• What is the Version and Build of Windows 10 installed on the PC? (Type winver in Windows search/Run command)
  

• Do you use any non-Microsoft anti-virus software?
  
• Are you using a USB or a Bluetooth device as an alternate option, for app volume preference?
  
• Are you aware of any recent changes on the PC prior to this issue?
  

Meanwhile, I would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

Method 1: Run SFC and DISM scan



Try running SFC and DISM scan on your PC to see if there are any corrupted system files. Refer the article Using System File Checker in Windows 10



Method 2: New User Account

I would also suggest you to create a new user account with administrative rights and check if the issue persists. Creating a new user account will not remove any data, app or settings from your current user account, this is just a troubleshooting step to eliminate the possibility of user profile corruption. Refer this article to create a local user or administrator account in Windows 10

Windows Camera App not showing under App Volume and Device Preferences

Hello, I have a Dell Inspiron 5502 running Windows 10 version 22H2. I have a sound issue. Under Settings>System>Sound >Advanced Sound Options>App volume and device preferences I have my system default sound input set to Virtual Cable, and I individually choose the input for other individual apps (Audacity, voice recorder etc). [[ See Picture ]] However, I want to set the input for the Windows Camera app (webcam) to "Microphone Array" (the built in laptop microphone), but the Camera App is NOT showing up in the list when I start the app. So I can't change the audio input for the webcam app unless I change the default setting for the whole system first. How do I change just the input preference for the camera app? Or how do I get the camera app to properly show up in the list of apps under: Thanks!!

- - - Updated - - - NEVER MIND, I just found it. Apparently, even thought the Windows Camera app is running, it will not show up in that list until you initiate a video recording. Then it appears. That is not the case, for example, with Windows voice recorder, which will appear in the list even though it's not recording anything. Stupid computer systems. lol. ok, it's me.
