Make sure your Xbox account and Minecraft account are properly linked. You'll need to sign into your account via the Xbox app or the official Xbox website and make sure the Minecraft game is associated with your Xbox account.

Check if your friend actually has an Xbox Game Pass.Since you said she needs an Xbox Game Pass to play with you, but you're not playing the same version of the game, this could mean that she needs an Xbox Game Pass to access the same version of the game as you.

Here are some specific steps to take:



Have your friend check the status of her Xbox Game Pass subscription to make sure it's active.

On your computer, open the Xbox app and sign in to your account. Make sure your Minecraft game is launched through the Xbox app.

In Minecraft, try restarting the game and logging into your account.
