Windows 10: How can I burn ISO to USB on a Mac device with Windows 11 ISO?

Hi all,My Windows 11 PC suddenly does not work and always come with a blue screen of death issue when booting. Fortunately, I have all the important files backed up in OneDrive. So I am going to reinstall Windows 11. Currently, I only have a M3 MacBook Air at hand and the popular bootable USB creation tools does not work on Mac. burning an Iso of windows 10

Hi,

Your concern with burning an ISO to a disc can be due to the selected file's contents. To better understand your concern, we'd like to know the following:

• If you're using a blank disc.
• If you're burning both the x64 and x86 system types of Windows 10 at the same time.
• The program that you're using to burn the ISO file.

You can also use an 8GB USB flash drive to save the ISO as an alternative.

Need ISO maker

I tried imgburn followed step by step and it sucks ...burned an image supposed to be ISO endend up in UDF ..not auto executable and scraped a dvd for it. Gonna try alcohol thx

 

Win 7 iso burn, not working?

As already been discussed, Windows Vista and newer requires a DVD5 disk (Ultimate with x64 and x86 may require DVD9). I recommend burning at the slowest possible speed with an LG or Lite-On burner on Verbatim blanks. I also highly recommend checking the box to verify the burn. No sense trying to install when the burn is bad. I don't remember if Windows 7 can natively burn ISOs but if it can't, I use Nero. I only used ImgBurn for creating XP ISOs.

I rarely get coasters using the above method. About the only time I did was when the ISO didn't fully download (wouldn't work via USB either).

DVDs install around 20 MB/s. A USB with read speeds slower than that will not be faster.
