Windows 10: How can I buy a product key for a specific version of Windows 10?

HP tech support shows that their tool for scanning this particular machine for automatically downloading the needed HP hardware drivers for Windows 10 will work only for Windows 10 versions 1607 thru 1809. I think I found a decent place to download 1809 -- https://www.getmyos.com/windows-10-1809-home-pro-education-32-64-bit-free-download. I'd appreciate any other suggestions. Thanks but I don't want to do any decrypting. I want to download a Win 10 ISO from Microsoft and install it using my Win 8 key. No other steps required. Is that possible?

Windows Product Key

A friend of mine has an all-in-one that came with Windows 8 pre-installed. He erased the original OS thinking he could install another version of Windows 8. One thing he encountered, that he didn't expect, the BIOS/UEFI has a password. So, basically he is locked out from installing another OS. His BIOS has the product key nestled inside. Is it possible to find out which version the product key belong to?
