Windows 10: How can I change future downloads to be on my D drive

For starters, I've looked this up a lot and my specific problem isn't working. I've tried registry edits, moving folders from my C drive to my D drive, but I don't want to have to move all my folders as it causes a lot of issues. I wanted to make my C drive my Windows boot drive and drive for my Steam stuff. but it gets incredibly full fast since its not meant to handle more than that. I'm running into an issue now since its constantly full, and no matter what I delete, or try, it wont ever get empty. Every time I uninstall something, it removes like megabytes of stuff and its frustrating. I w

  Is the D: drive located on the same hard disk or on different hard disk?
  
• 
  Did you have any important data saved on the
  D: drive?
  

If the D: is saved on another hard disk and you are unable to access it, I suggest you to format the drive completely and check if the issue is resolved.



To format the hard disk, follow the steps below:

• 
  Press Windows logo + X keys on the keyboard and select
  Disk management option.
  
• 
  Right click on the D: drive and select
  Format option.
  
• 
  Wait for the formatting to complete and check if the changes are effective.
