Windows 10: How can I change my pin without Windows Hello?

I use a gmail account for my laptop, and it won't let me change my pin unless I sign into Windows Hello with a work or school Microsoft account, which I don't have. I already have a pin for my computer from when it was on Windows 10, and I genuinely don't understand why I can't change it all of a sudden. Am I just stuck with the old pin unless I remove it and only use a password, or is there a way to change it?
