    How can I change my taskbar search window to "normal" appearance/function it currently...


    I have 3 Win 11 Pro clients. One of them displays an abnormal I think search window appearance and function when I click on the taskbar search icon. The search window on the other 2 clients works exactly as you'd expect ie. a vertically-split window, with the search options menu along the top of the window.To be explicit: the search window see image below works perfectly; but it drives me crazy because every day I want to run apps as Admin, and instead of having that option on the right-hand side of the search window, I have to right-click on the suggested app instead and then run as Adm

    To assist you better, kindly send us a screenshot and provide more details by answering the following questions:

    • When you say "taskbar search function", do you mean the Start menu search field?
    • Are you getting any error messages upon accessing the taskbar search?
    Meanwhile, to help resolve your concern, we suggest that you run the System file checker and DISM tool to fix issues with corrupted system files that may be causing the issue. To do this, follow these steps:

    • Press Windows Key + X on your keyboard.
    • Choose Command Prompt (Admin).
    • Type or copy these commands followed by hitting Enter:

      sfc /scannow

      dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
