Windows 10: How can i change the phone number for the login code?

Hello, I,m completly stuck. I need to unlock my HDD,s but i can't login.He ask on my secret anwerI don't remember my secret question after having this accout for a very long time and he send the code to my very old phone number.And i need to login to change it.I wanted to contact Microsoft but i need to login for it as well.How can i fix this?I need my working files as soon as possible. And i don't want to be stuck in a loop system....My account name is on, *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

Unable to login to Paypal phone broken

I use an authenticator app on my phone for 2 step verification to login to paypal but my phone is broken so I can no longer get the code. I've tried using the microsoft authenticator app on another device but it's looking for a QR code to scan which I can't access since I can't login to paypal

Paypal tells me they is no way they can turn off the 2 step verification whjich means I cannot ever access my account.

There must be a way around this?

To change the phone number associated with your Microsoft account, we recommend to follow the steps below:

• First, go to the
  Security basics page and sign in with your Microsoft account.
• Select Update info.
• Select Add security info. then follow the instructions to enter your email or phone number.
• We'll send a security code to that new email or phone number. Enter that security code, and press
  Next. Your new security info will appear in you list.

Change phone number

Hi There,

I'm trying to change my phone number on my microsoft account, but the step I can't get past is the one where it is sending a security code to your phone number. But that doesn't help because I don't have that old phone number.
