Windows 10: how can I change the profile type or the log name on my computer?

I have this phrase in my computer: MY -PC /Mom, I want to remove the word Mom. I think this is the Log name on my computer. I am trying to change the profile type in order to do so, and my computer doesn't give me the option to do so. I think this is also the profile user name on my computer. How can I do that? How can I remove the word Mom from it?

Changing the Log-on/Display name

To change your sign-in screen name on Windows 10, follow the steps below:

• Use the Windows key + I keyboard shortcut to open the Settings app.
• Click Accounts.
• Select Your email and accounts.
• 
  Hit the Manage my Microsoft Account link to open the web browser and load your profile.

  In the main page, click the Edit name link.
  
• 
  Change your name and last name, and click Save.
  
• 
  Restart your computer.
  

Note: It is important to know that following these steps, you will also be changing the name on your outlook.com account and other Microsoft services, as well as the account name that is connected with your Microsoft account.

In line with this, you may also create a new account name on Windows 10, follow these steps:

• Type user on the search bar; then, click User Accounts.
• Click on change your account name option; then, change the name and check if it helps.

The name of your computer or the name of your user account?

To change the name of your computer:

• Click Start, type sysdm.cpl in the Search box, and Press Enter
• On the "Computer Name" tab, click the "Change" button
• Type the new name for the computer OK your way out.

To change the name of your user account:

• Click Start, type User Accounts in the Search box, and press Enter
• Click "Change your account name"
• Respond as needed to the UAC prompt
• Enter the new name
• Click the "Change Name" button

IMPORTANT: Changing your user account name will NOT change the names of the folders that comprise your user account profile. For example, if your current User Account is BOB, your user folders are:

C:\Users\BOB\Documents

C:\Users\BOB\Photos

C:\USERS\BOB\Desktop

etc.

If you change your User Account name to TED, all of the above folders will still be under C:\Users\BOB.

The better practice would be to create an entirely new account, log into it once to create the folder structure, then log into a third account (which has "Administrator" privileges) and copy the contents of the old account to the new one. See the instructions

Change Computer Name in Windows 10, can't log in

I changed my computer name using the settings option (first way listed) in the tutorial Change Computer Name in Windows 10 .

Fine. But now I can no longer log in. My ordinary login works on another computer just fine, so it's to do with the login being associated with this computer's name. What to do?
