How can I change the properties of already-installed fonts to "install for all users"?

When I installed fonts in Windows 11 in the past, I didn't know there is an option to "install for all users". Now I find that I need them to have that property in order to use them with OpenSCAD. Is there a way I can force ALL of them to be "installed for all users" without having to reinstall them? There are literally hundreds of them.

    :)

All fonts I installed disappear after restarting Windows 10

Follow these steps to install fonts once for all. Here are the steps:

    • 1. Open 'My Computer' and navigate to C:\Windows\Fonts.
    • 2. Find (or reinstall) the font in question.
    • 3. Right-click on the font file and click 'Properties'
    • 4. On the 'General' tab next to 'Attributes', click 'Advanced'
    • 5. Uncheck 'Encrypt contents to secure data'
    • 6. The font should now remain installed after a restart.

    I hope this helps!

How can I change the properties of already-installed fonts to "install for all users"?

    Fonts installed but not displaying

    Hello Kirsty,

Problem using the newly installed fonts has a lot of causes. One example is the font was not installed properly. To isolate the issue, can you answer the below questions:

    • Are you getting any error messages?
    • If yes, can you include a
      screenshot
      ?
    • Have you tried dragging the Futura LT font to the Font File folder? (Go to Fonts (Control Panel) and drop the Futura LT font)
    • Have you installed the Font before? If yes, try the below steps
    • Go to C:\Windows\Fonts using File Explorer.
    • Find the font file and open it to preview the font.
    • In the preview window click Install on the top right corner and you’ll reinstall the font manually.

We are eager on getting this resolved for you, we will wait for your feedback.
