Windows 10: How can I check the status of USB interface power overcurrent through the tool of windows?

When a USB device has a VBUS short circuit, Windows 10 will pop up a message window, but it only displays for a short time and then disappears. How can I check the status of USB interface power overcurrent through the tool of windows?For example: device manager or registry editor and so on

USB overcurrent detected… sometimes

i can start and run my computer just fine for the first time i boot it up, but if i power it off and try to power it back on i get the usb overcurrent detected alert and my com powers off. If I leave the computer off for a while it can boot up again no problem.

I’ve had this for a few months and there are no other problems i’ve seen affecting my setup. Just the occasional time where i have to let my com cool off before i can turn it back on. This happens even when i have nothing but the monitor plugged in.

I would suggest you to reinstall the USB drivers and check if it helps.

• Press Windows Key + X, and select Device Manager
• Expand the Universal Serial Bus Controllers section by clicking on the
  "+" sign.
• Uninstall each of the devices under the
  USB Controller section by right-clicking on each one, and then clicking
  Uninstall.
• Close the Device Manager and
  restart your computer. Windows will automatically re-install the USB controllers in your computer, without you having to do anything further. Your computer will now run USB devices properly.

Also update chipset drivers for USB for windows 10 from the manufacturer’s website.

I suggest you to run the Power troubleshooter and check if it helps.

The power troubleshooter can automatically detect and fix any incorrect power settings. Refer to these steps to run this troubleshooter:

• Type Troubleshooting in the search box.
• Click on Troubleshooting and select the
  view all option on the left pane.
• Click on Power troubleshooter and follow the prompts.

Method 1: Run Power Troubleshoot.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with power. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Power.

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel
• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
• Run the Power troubleshooter

Method 2: I suggest you to update drivers and check if that helps. If that issue persist please uninstall and reinstall latest drivers available in manufacturer website.

• Press “Windows + X” and select Device manger.
• Select Display Adapter and expand the driver icon.
• Right click on the driver icon and click on Update.
• Follow the onscreen instructions to update the driver.
