    How can I choose the power source for my laptop in Window 11


    I have 2 possible power source for my laprtop: the power cable of my laptop or USB-C connect to a power station. The power station I use is not good enought for my laptop but Windows 11 prioritize that source. I can I change it so my laptop use my power cable? I need to connect my laptop to the power station for the use of multiple monitor and add some USB connection.Thx in advence.PA

    Windows won't boot up when unplug laptop power source

    The problem is that, if i didn't unplug the power source from the laptop(ie : i just leave it connected to the power source) the laptop can boot just fine. The problem happens when i unplug the power source, and plug in back with the power source, the laptop
    will go black screen after the acer logo

    USB settings in Power Plan Options on Windows 10 is missing, how to restore it?

    As per the below suggested steps I am trying to disable the USB in USB selective suspend setting in my Dell laptop with Windows 10 Home. however, I do not find the USB Settings at all in two modes Balanced mode or Dell (Active) mode under change advanced
    power settings. How to restore it?

    USB Selective Suspend Settings, follow the steps below:

    1. Press Windows + X.
    2. Choose Power Options.
    3. Select Choose when to turn off the display.
    4. Open Change advanced power settings.
    5. Expand USB settings and USB selective suspend setting.
    6. Select Enabled (default) or Disabled.
    7. Click Apply, then OK.

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community. I understand the issue you are facing and appreciate the steps taken to solve the issue.

    I suggest you to perform a Power Drain by following the steps provided below and check if it helps.

    • Shut down the Computer.
    • Remove all power source (including battery if it is a laptop).
    • Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds.
    • Connect the power source and start the computer.
    • After the computer boots to the desktop, suggest you to install all the pending updates.
