    How can I clear up hacking on my computer


    Hello,My computer has been hacked and my IP address has been used on the dark web and I need so help with my computer.I have emails that are not coming in and I have noticed that when I send documents are missing. My junk mail has been mixed with income mail. When emails are sent to be I am not receiving them from others. I work from home and my system is being hacked, can you help me. I have purchased 2 different VPN account for security reasons but whom ever is hacking my computer they simply going in and turn off or removed the VPN app altogehter. Help me please....Thank youSadibra D

    Clear Pagefile on Shutdown


    I've been looking into clearing the pagefile, and I found the following steps at a somewhat dated webpage:
    1. In the registry editor, navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management
    2. Set ClearPageFileAtShutdown to the REG_DWORD value of 1.
    3. Restart Windows.
    I'm just wondering whether those steps are still valid, and, if so, does clearing the pagefile work as advertised?

    • Type %temp%.
    • Hit Enter.
    • Press Ctrl A, to highlight everything.

    Hi SARRAF,

    I don't believe your computer is "hacked"; but, you definitely have some malware. What I suggest is using Malwarebytes to clear the infection.

    Go to Malwarebytes.com and download the free version and do a scan - it should find the Malware and cleanse it for you.

    Let me know how it works.
