Windows 10: How can I completely start over on my account without losing my product key?

I recently decided to make a new account for my computer. I want this change to be complete, as if I am getting this computer for the first time and making an email. I also want that email to be a gmail account. Here is what I am trying to do:1. Make a gmail account2. Retrieve the product key3. Install Windows 10 I have Windows 11 and it was unsatisfactory completely new4. Setup my computer with my new gmailIn this way, I hope to pretend that my old account will not even exist. I will then make another profile for this account with my real name. I want to know:1. Is my product key linked to

Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

 

How to unlink a product key from the Microsoft account?

It is dead easy to remove the digital link from MS account. Simply change login to a local licence.

Then use your product key on new pc. If Windows complains key has already been used, use telephone activation and at step where it asks about licence, state it will only be used on new pc.

 

Creating a MS account without losing Local account

Go to https://account.microsoft.com, click Create account and fill the form:





With a Microsoft account you can then use OneDrive and Office Online apps for free. You can also use built-in native Windows apps which require a Microsoft account like Mail, Skype Preview, People, Calendar and download apps from Windows Store.
