Windows 10: How can I create a restore point back to 3/1/22?

Windows 8.1How can I create a restore point back to 3/1/22? I lost files in March and haven't figured out how to retrieve them. When I try to create a new restore point, it is just for today. How do I go back in time? Thanks - Jim

You do not need Bitdefender, you have Windows Security (Defender) that comes with Windows and provides all the protection you need, it is Free and updates with Windows. Use Bitdefender's Uninstaller to remove it, as it may be causing conflict with System Restore. Then restart the comptuier, see if you can create a System Restore point. We also don't suggest depending on System Restore, as it works until you need it. We suggest you create an Image file of your computer using Macrium Reflect or your favorite Clone software and saving the image on another drive in or external to your computer or Cloud Service.

2. On the System Protection tab in System Properties, select Create.

3. Type a description for the restore point, and then select Create > OK.
