Windows 10: How can I delete a hidden network from my wi-fi and what else do i need to do following a...

I stupidly got scammed into believing i was online to HP re my printer which was malfunctioning. The 'so-called' technician tried to convince me that my network was badly infected. However, I fell for letting him access my computer remotely. He then tried to sell me a security package which would clear up all the issues in the network. Luckily I did not pay anything. I have since done a deep scan which has come up OK . I have also changed my Wi-Fi access password. What is worrying me still is has he accessed my router and installed something there? I have a 'Hidden Network' showing and

Trouble Changing Wi-Fi Password


I've been following the following steps to change my Wi-Fi password for some time:

1. Launch Control Panel.
2. Click "Network and Internet."
3. Click "Network and Sharing Center."
4. Click "Wi-Fi...."
5. Click "Wireless Properties."
6. Click the Security tab.
7. Check "Show characters."
8. Enter the password in "Network security key."

Those steps have been working just fine, but today I discovered a new wrinkle. If I change the password inside the router first, "Wi-Fi..." doesn't appear in step 4. This isn't much of a problem at home, because I can just change the password in Control Panel before I change it inside the router, but it would be a problem at a public hotspot, or something of that nature. I also tested Brink's instructions in "How to Connect To a Wireless Network in Windows 10," but they don't work for me either. How can I fix this?

I suggest you to follow the below steps to delete the connected Wi-Fi device and try adding it again.

• 
  Type View Network Connections in the search bar and click on the same.
  
• 
  If your Wi-Fi device is listed, right-click on the device and click on
  Delete.
  
• 
  Now, try connecting to the Wi-Fi and check if it prompts for the password.

I never accessed "Hidden Network". Hughesnet technician cam eby and upgraded the modem, and he gave me the wi-fi password to use. I have tried everything to delete this hidden network and it does not delete and connects automatically. Does this mean someone
has use of my wi-fi network?

I can not find where to change my wi-fi network password either?
