Windows 10: How can I delete files from an inaccessible OneDrive account?

When I was in high school, my school gave every student free OneDrive accounts. I signed into this account from my personal laptop at some point, since it ran faster than the school laptops and was just more comfortable overall. Now that I've graduated, I no longer need any of these files on my laptop, but I cannot delete them. Each file has a small grey X over the thumbnail, and when I try deleting them I get a message saying "Error 0x8007016A: The cloud provider is not running." Usually, when this happens to files from my personal account, all I have to do is log into OneDrive and let it syn

Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

 

OneDrive Folder Inaccessible, Undeletable

After reinstalling Windows 10, my old OneDrive directory cannot be accessed, nor deleted. I don't want it. I want to delete it. However, it is totally inaccessible. I've tried changing permissions, I've tried unlocker, I've tried moving the OneDrive account
folder back to that directory, I've tried cmd as administrator. I just want to delete the damn thing. Please help...

The folder is 0 Kb & contains 0 files.

Posted under Windows 10 because OneDrive category is locked. Also, I think the solution will be found in Windows somewhere, not OneDrive itself.

 

Deleted account keeps reappearing

Is it still appearing no matter how you try to delete? I suggest you to follow the steps below to remove user account from your computer, and check if it helps. Try the ones you’re comfortable with.

Step 1: Steps to Remove a User Account in Settings
