Windows 10: How can I delete McAfee files from a folder called Window Apps in Program Files?

My PC awoke on its own from sleep today. There was a popup asking me to activate McAfee Web Advisor. I long ago uninstalled the McAfee program that came with my PC. I can't recall the last time I installed any new program, so I'm puzzled as to where this new installation of McAfee came from. It was somehow installed today. I uninstalled it, but there are a number of files from McAfee still on my PC in a folder called Window Apps in Program Files. I can't delete it without owner permission. When I took ownership if the folder as administrator, I gave myself full control, but when I went to dele

C windows installer folder - Delete?

He can do symbolic link redirection and move the files in it to a different location. *Wink
Better try it out in a virtual of first. Just a suggestion.

Like:
First move everything in c:\windows\installer to d:\installercache
Then delete c:\windows\installer folder
Then type this in command mode as admin
mklink /d c:\windows\installer d:\installercache

Removing those installer files is a bad idea. it might prevent you from updating or uninstalling apps.

 

Generating a .txt based file list in Windows 7

I want to be able to generate a .txt file that lists all the files and folders in a specific folder on my PC, but don't know the name of any programs that do that. Searched on google a bit and came up with this guide, but it's for XP and I can't seem to find some of the folder options to modify the .bat file. Any suggestions? Thanks

EDIT: The .bat file will do what I want if it is in the folder I want to do it in, but the option I want to add is having the right click option that it shows.

 

Plz recomend program to recover deleted files.
