  1. How can I delete sub-folders from a folder with the Read Only attribute.

I can't delete folders because the "Read only" attribute is set. If I unselect it, and select "affect all sub-folders", the sub-folders are not affected, and I still can not delete the folder. I have to open each sub-folder to find their sub-folders, remove all their Read only attributes, delete all of them, go bck up, and then delete that sub-folder, and on to the next.I have tried the Run Command attrib -r -s "path" to no avail. bHow can I resolve this?

    :)

  3. Read-Only Attribute on Folders - What is its purpose and what do its states mean?

    See:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...-the-read-only-or-the-system-attributes-of-fo

In other words, the FOLDER is not read only or not (not really, as you cannot READ a folder, just LIST its contents, eh?) - but some files under it may be read-only (or not) so if you have a read-only file and one that is not, that would bone of each UNDER
that folder (or some sub-sub-sub folder and so on...)

How can I delete sub-folders from a folder with the Read Only attribute.

Date Attributes of Parent Folder based on Child Folder Attributes

    Hi,

    Running Windows 10 ver 1909 (build 18363.1256)

I am looking for a way to change Date Attributes (at the very least, the Date Created attribute) of a series of Folders. Each folder has one or more sub-folders that have a date in the Folder Name, and each of their Date Created attribute reflects this same date too.

I would like the Parent Folder to have the latest Date Created of its sub-folders.

    Example:
    Parent Folder:
    • Project-XYZ

    Child Folders:
    • SubTask - 2019-08-07 - Title - Otherinfo
    • SubTask - 2021-02-05 - Title - Otherinfo
    • SubTask - 2020-06-19 - Title - Otherinfo

I would like the Date Created timestamp of Project-XYZ to be the latest from the SubTask folders, which in this case would be 2021-02-05.

Please note: I don't want the date reflected in the folder name, but in the Date Created attribute.
