    How can I disable Directdraw simulation from regedit in Windows 10?


    I've been playing a classic game called Bully.

    And at some point, it hangs.


    However the solution to it is disabling the Directdraw simulation, which was easy to do in previous versions of Windows.

    In Windows 10, I've tried to Google how to do it but no one seems to know how.


    Please help.

    DIsable Directdraw DirectX12

    I am trying to run an old game on an HP laptop purchased last June, it has Windows 10 and Directtx12. Apparently I need to disable Directdraw to allow the game to run. I have been following the thread partially shown below but it doesn't seem to apply.
    Can someone help? Thanks.

    Previous versions of windows had a slider to do this under a "troubleshooting" tab, but windows 10 does not.

    How can I do this now?

    Is there someway I can edit the registry?

    I Can't seem to find any of the options you suggested on Windows 10.

    When i right click on the desktop this is displayed:

    Microsoft Flight Simulator issue after Windows 10 Upgrade

    Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.



    I suggest you to completely uninstall Microsoft Flight Simulator and check.

    Refer the steps below to uninstall.

    • Press “Windows key + X”, select Control panel.
    • Open programs and features.
    • In the list of installed programs, select Microsoft Flight Simulator, and then click
      Remove.


    Note: If you have earlier versions of Flight Simulator in the list of installed programs, you will have to remove them in addition to Flight Simulator.



    Reinstall the Flight Simulator.



    Please reply to us if the issue still persist.
