Windows 10: How can I find maximum amount of ram supported by my laptop

I have an Acer Aspire-7 laptop with 8 GB ram with 2 slotsonly one slot occupiedI want add more ram to the laptop When I run command "wmic memphysical get maxcapacity, memorydevices "I got the results as follows MaxCapacity MemoryDevices 8388608 2It's saying that that max capacity is 8GB. Is it saying about the current maximum capacity or is that the maximum the device can support computer or is it talking about max ram per slot Which of the following configurations of ram is possible Slot 1 Slot2 8 0 Current RAM 8

Quick question: what's the maximum amount of RAM supported by Windows 10 for both computer architectures? I plan to upgrade my computer's RAM.

 

Installing More RAM in Laptop Than The Maximum

Hi Guys, Windows 10 Pro Version 22H2 Build 19045.3693 Quick question: The maximum RAM my laptop supports is 8GB according to the documentation. For some time now, I've had a total of 10GB of RAM installed and this 10GB is reflected in the About section in Settings. Does that mean that my laptop has been utilising all 10GB all this time or is that 2GB not used even though it is reflected in the About section?

This is often caused by a limitation of the motherboard BIOS. I would check with your motherboard manufacturer for details on the maximum support for Windows, and see if there is an updated BIOS that is listed as "for Windows 10". This happens when
the motherboard BIOS reserves RAM for hardware functions (onboard video, 5.1/7.1 surround, etc).
