Windows 10: How can I find older files not deleted on my HP Envy Windows 10 laptop?

I have recently realized that I cannot find any document files older than October 2019 on my laptop. I got my laptop in August 2016 so I am missing about three years of files from college. I have not deleted these files or moved them anywhere. I typically save every document to my PC and not to Onedrive. I did go to two different colleges so I have had two different Microsoft accounts since getting this computer. Do the Microsoft account changes have anything to do with this? If I try and restore previous versions of my files, will it mess up current documents I have been using/creating?Is the

HP Envy Laptop Battery not charging after Windows 10 installation

Hi,

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Communities.

I suggest you to un-install and re-install battery drivers from Device manager and check. Follow the steps:

• Press Windows Key + X.
• Click on Device Manager.
• Expand Batteries and right click on Batteries ACPI and click on Un-install.
• Restart the computer and check.

If the issue persist, I suggest you to visit HP Envy website and check whether HP has released any firmware updates for Windows 10. If so, please go ahead and install them and check with the issue.

 

HP Envy X2 Laptop Critical Process Died in Windows 10

Have a HP Envy X2 laptop with Windows 10. When I power it on it:

1. Goes into Preparing Automatic Repair state with the HP logo and spinning dots below it.
   
2. Then goes into the Blue screen of death stating Critical Process Died.
   
3. After about a couple of minutes the HP logo reappears with the spinning dots (but no automatic repair message)
   
4. Finally the laptop shuts down.
5. I attempt to power it on again, then it repeats the previous steps.

So I cannot get into Windows 10. I've tried getting into safe mode but was unsuccessful.

I have the Windows 10 media file on an USB drive. Can someone advise me how do I install a clean copy of Windows during the boot up process? Or at least get into safe mode?
