Windows 10: How can I fix a problem with randomly disappearing disk drive?

Recently I noticed, that sometimes when I play games installed on my secondary disk D: they are randomly crashing, I thought that it was some kind of client/game problem but when I reinstalled it to my main disk drive C: they suddenly stopped crashing, so I was starting to suspect a drive for it. And so I opened a task manager and had both of my disks showing up, but seconds after I noticed that my secondary disk just disappeared and again appeared and again and again. I had a problem before that with my old disk that it just disappeared and wasn't even showing up for clarity I fixed it a

Hard disk drives disappearing

I have two hard disk's on my laptop one of them keeps disappearing and coming back randomly. My D, E and F drive keeps disappearing and comes back after many restarts. The Disk Management solution doesn't help as the drives doesn't show up there. Please
help!!!

 

Disk management console view is not up-to-date

i dont know how to fix your disk management, but i can fix your partition problems...




open up Command Prompt with admin rights. (Right click, run as admin)


enter in
DISKPART
list disk

then find the Disk number for your Raid array... lets call it number 7 ( you can tell what disk is what by the total size)
type in

Select Disk 7
List Partition (will give you a list of all the partitions..)
Select Partition 1 (im assuming you only have 1 partition on Disk 7) repeat this step if you have more partitions.
ASSIGN


that should get the array up and running ready to use.

side question, have you tried restarting the PC?

 

drive randomly reappears and disappears

I only have a 256 gb ssd and a random E drive randomly appeared with a lot of storage. So I downloaded games onto the drive and then it disappeared. But it recently disappeared with all the files still there and was even able to open an application, but
it soon crashed and the drive disappeared again.
