Windows 10: How can I fix my Bluetooth Sculpt Mouse?

Hi,I have a Microsoft Sculpt Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse pair. There is a single USB dongle that controls both of them together as a pair.Initially they both worked really well but suddenly the mouse part has become completely unresponsive.I have replaced the batteries in the mouse and when turning it on the blue scanning light underneath is flickering as though it is functioning normally. It does not however move the cursor on the screen at all and none of the buttons on the mouse have any effect.The keyboard is still fully working correctly even though it is part of the same USB dongle.So f

Microsoft Sculpt Mouse Replacement Issues

I reviewed the whole article, and none of the steps there fix my issue.

Basically, I only would like to know if is possible to pair the Bluetooth version of Sculpt Mouse to Microsoft 2.4 GHz transceiver. I do not have any issues to pair my sculpt keyboard to transceiver or to pair my sculpt mouse by Bleutooth.

However, my previous sculpt mouse (non bluetooth) could pair to MS transceiver. It looks like the new one (bluetooth) cannot do it, only pairs to Bluetooth.

Update: Contacted Microsoft Answer Desk and they told me the support for this mouse is "END OF LIFE". That's a load of bull as the "Sculpt Comfort mouse" is still listed for sale on the Microsoft site: https://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/en_US/pdp/Sculpt-Comfort-Mouse/productID.282133900

So they offered me a choice of 4 cheaper alternatives (only 2 of the 4 were bluetooth mice).

My mouse is only 4 months old and Microsoft still sells this very mouse. I really believe I should receive the exact same mouse.

I understand the inconvenience you are facing with the working of Mouse. I appreciate your effort in trying to fix the issue.



Provide us additional information to assist you better with this issue:

1. What is the make and model of the computer?
   
2. Is your computer connected to domain network?
   

I would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below and let us know if that helps.

1. Close all your open apps: Then see if the cursor improves. If it does, the number of open apps might have been interfering with your PC’s connection to the mouse.
   
2. Restart your PC. This will refresh the drivers.
   

1. Change the cursor settings. Select the
   Start button, and then select
   Settings > Devices > Mouse > Additional mouse options >
   Pointer Options and adjust the pointer speed.

If the issue still persists try installing the latest edition of
Mouse and Keyboard Center and check the status of the issue.

I see that you have already tried changing the Bluetooth adapters, however please refer the section ‘To manually install the Bluetooth driver’
and ‘Uninstall the Bluetooth adapter in Device Manager’
from the article Fix Bluetooth problems in Windows 10
to verify whether the steps you have tried was in the same procedure.

if the issue still persists.
